Session 2 - Junie B. Jones
Description
During Session 2 of Camp ENCORE! campers of all ages will explore the art of theatre as they work towards a complete production of Junie B Jones JR. After auditions and role assignments on the first day, campers will learn choreography, music, blocking and theatre fundamentals. Our goal is to make every camper feel included and valued in our show and at our camp. Therefore, in addition to learning our show, campers will explore the art of theatre through games, improvisational activities, and masterclasses from local artists about some of the backstage and onstage specialties of the performing arts. The performances of Junie B Jones JR. will take place on the Wilcox Main Stage July 12 at 11am and July 13 at 11am.

Join Junie B. on her first day of first grade, where many changes are in store: Junie's best friend Lucille has found new best friends -— and Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. While in Mr. Scary's class, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard — and she may need glasses. Add in a friendly cafeteria lady, an intense kickball tournament and a "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal," and first grade has never been more exciting.
