4EEE's Youth Programs introduce Earth Skills, a blend of the ancient arts of tracking, wilderness survival, and nature awareness. Through our programs, a re-thinking of our connection to nature begins to occur. Nature is not simply a resource that we control as a product, but a relationship we must cultivate. Through hands-on skills, games, songs and storytelling, we create an "invisible school", where kids learn directly from the Earth while having tons of fun, laughing and playing with each other. Keep in mind that this may involve the kids getting wet, dirty or muddy! Please make sure your student knows this is OK, and bring them ready for the adventure in appropriate clothing. Students will also need a water bottle, snacks, and any required medications. We meet at the Burton Educational Preserve in Nevada City. Click here for a map. Please arrive 5 minutes early to the first session, and always pick-up your child(ren) promptly at the session end time. Parents are welcome to stay for the first few minutes of the program to make sure Young Fox Walkers adjust to the group. But students should already be able to be away from their parents for the duration of the program.
