Fundraising Goals for Parks Plus Creation/Spire School 2024-25
Supporting Parks Plus Creation/Spire School happens in many different ways: sharing time, resources, talents, and a collective love and gratitude for the earth. We are grateful for everyone who has supported our programs, goals, and growth thus far; families, educators, staff members, and extended community members--thank you!
If you or someone you know would like to make a financial contribution to Parks Plus Creation/Spire School, we invite you to donate to one of our funding pathways which directly reflect our values of community and shared experiences, collaboration and partnership, inclusivity and equity, intentionality and growth, and strengthening our care for and connection with nature. Feel free to share this page widely within your network of community: friends, family, colleagues, partnerships, companies, entities, etc. All contributions*, regardless of size, are gratefully received and appreciated.
*As a for-profit LLC, contributions are not tax deductible; however, we are excited to share that Spire School is actively working towards transitioning to a nonprofit model by Spring 2025.
$ | Staff Stipend Fund more infoEvery year the families of the Spire School community consistently inquire how we can work together to increase educator and support staff wages. Our goal continues to be to establish the baseline of a sustainable living wage* for all staff, creating a compensation environment that recognizes, honors and celebrates early child development work as a sustainable professional career path. Our journey towards this goal is a long one, as early childhood development has historically been undervalued, and often leads educators and staff in this field to consider other career paths as they start to grow their own families and save for the future. The Staff Stipend Fund allows current and alumni families to directly and exclusively donate financial gifts to Spire School staff to be evenly distributed in December and June of each school year as a gift from the community. Every contribution you make to this fund brings us a little bit closer to reaching our goal.

$ | Career Development Fund more infoAs educators we pride ourselves on being lifelong learners; we are actively looking for ways to grow our intentional practices and knowledge of child development, nature connection, and forest school pedagogy. We also seek ways that we can better serve our community. In partnership with our Resident Equity Consultant, Rosalinda Mancillas, we’ve been diving deep into Anti-Racism and Equity work with discussions, intensive training, applying our learning to challenge and recalibrate our daily practices and school policies, as well as strengthening and cultivating our partnerships within the larger community. For this continued development, we aim to raise $10,000 toward consultation, coaching, and workshops. |
$ | Spire School envisions a learning community where children grow and develop through play, sensory experiences and exploration in a safe, nurturing environment. Our vision is to support the developmental and learning needs of children while retaining highly qualified staff and increasing access to our holistic programming regardless of the financial capacity of the families we serve. Our Annual Fund seeks to offset the gap between annual tuition revenue and the operating budget necessary in order to attain that vision. Some examples of how this fund is allocated include: supplementing our sliding scale tuition system in order to support families with greater financial need; maintaining strong and sustainable staff wages; and establishing sustainable and consistent access to sheltered learning spaces when the impacts of climate change drives our classroom indoors. This year we aim to raise $178,490 for our Annual Fund. |
