Art | Campers will be introduced to basic art techniques in a fun environment that fosters art exploration and creative expression. |
Art of Acting | Campers will be introduced to foundational principles that will help build confidence in the story telling world of acting. Caleb Zimmerman, who has been acting at Cavod for eight years, will give tips on how to act with confidence, improve your skills and have lots of fun along the way. |
Art of Defense | This program is led by Caleb Zimmerman, who instructs Hand-to-Hand combat at Cavod. Campers will grow physically and mentally through unarmed combat training in the art of discipline and respect. |
Culinary Arts | Learn basic cooking and baking techniques to increase confidence in the kitchen. Learn to make tasty meals and snacks from our experienced camp cooks. |
Horses | Learn the basics of horse care, riding, barn work, and fieldwork. Each camper is paired with a horse and learns to care for the horse under the instruction of our experienced horse staff. |
Outdoor Cooking | This learning center will teach campers how to make a campfire that is appropriate for cooking as well as the basics of cooking over an open fire. Under the guidance of experienced fire-building cooks, they will get to make and eat delicious meals and snacks. |
Target Sports | Learn the basics of range safety while enjoying a variety of target sports including rifles and archery, among others. Campers will be under the instruction of certified Range Safety Officers |
Wood Carving | Campers learn the basics of woodcarving. You will learn the three types of cuts that all woodcarvers use and how to safely carve using a knife. Create a fun project that you’ll be proud of. In the past we have carved hedgehogs, owls, mushrooms, and whistles. |
