STATEMENT OF IDENTITY: Heartland CRC is a Christian organization and strives to provide hospitality to all those visiting its grounds. Although groups are not required to affirm our Christian values, all on-site guests must agree to respect the religious beliefs of Heartland CRC and the Ohio Ministry Network with whom it is affiliated. As such, all groups must abide by the policies and procedures outlined in the contract addendums and agree to do nothing by word or act while at Heartland that will in any way detract from the testimony of this ministry. This includes the propagation of any beliefs or doctrines that directly contradict core religious convictions about God and humanity, and specifically any conduct or the propagation of any beliefs that violate the following doctrines: 1. THE SCRIPTURES INSPIRED: The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. 2. THE ONE TRUE GOD: The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. 3. THE DEITY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and humanity’s only hope for redemption. 4. CREATION: God is Creator, not only of the earth and its inhabitants, but of everything that exists. 5. GOD’S CREATION OF AND INTENTION FOR THE HUMAN PERSON: Humans are created in the image of God as male and female. In creating humankind, God established the order of sexuality which is that of an intimate physical relationship to be shared exclusively within a lifelong marriage covenant—a heterosexual and monogamous relationship. 6. SANCTITY OF LIFE: Every human life, from conception through death, is to be valued, respected, nurtured, and protected. 7. ABSTINENCE FROM ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, AND RECREATIONAL DRUGS: The Ohio Ministry Network disapproves of the use of substances that are harmful to the body or mind, or that detract from a Christian’s testimony, or that are a cause of stumbling to others, or that impair judgment. The determination of whether an activity or program will contradict these beliefs ultimately rests with the Heartland Board of Directors. The group leader accepts full responsibility of communicating these policies and procedures to the participants and will follow through to ensure compliance. This agreement may be cancelled, and guests asked to leave the premises for violation of the ministry's policies and procedures.
