Studio 1-3 Policies
Studio 1-3 PoliciesOpen Studio Pass for 2D ensures the user can access the studio space during Open Studio Hours posted on the website and at the front desk. The user is responsible for returning the studio key after they use the studio to the front desk. If the studio user does not return the key, access to the studio will be revoked.
Studio users will be responsible for cleaning their area upon leaving the studio, if this is not followed studio access will be revoked. Personal materials and supplies will be the responsibility of the artist. Using open studios entitles you to Studios 1-3 space tables, easels, chairs, and sinks. Studio users are responsible for bringing their materials.
If a studio user is utilizing the print press, please return the blankets to their original place. Blankets and surrounding materials must be clean and ready to use for the next person. Easels must be wiped clean and ready for the next person. Failure to do so will result in revoked access to the studio.
Should the studio user need to store any materials or artwork, they must consult the Education Department. The education department is not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen materials in the studio. This studio is a public space and Studio 1-3 has many functions.
The studio user also understands that the cancellation of Open Studio hours is at the discretion of SBMA and the Education Department. Should something come up, the Education Department reserves the right to cancel Open Studios to use the studio space if necessary. However, the Education Department will make every effort to compensate for missed hours if necessary.
Open Studio users are required to have taken one 2D course within 1 year of using the 2D Open Studio Pass.
