Adult Retreats |
Q: | Are there scholarships available for adult retreats? |
A: | Our programs are offered at a tiered pricing structure to hopefully make our programs more accessible to all. Scholarship support may be available for adult retreat programs. To inquire please fill out our contact form and someone will be in touch.
We are working to build up a scholarship fund for adult programs and encourage you to donate if you are able.

Q: | Can I request to be in a cabin with friends? |
A: | Absolutely. You can do so within the registration form. We will do our best to honor requests though we cannot guarantee the request.
|
Q: | Do I need to bring food or drinks? |
A: | There is no need to pack food for your stay at camp. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are all provided! We invite you to bring snacks to share and beverages for socializing (you can have access to refrigerator space!) Coffee, tea and some NA beverages for social time will be provided.
|
Q: | How do I manage my medication? |
A: | You will be in control of your own medication while on retreat at Camp Chickagami. If you require refrigeration, we can accommodate that request. Our infirmary has all required over the counter medications for other ailments that could come up while you’re on retreat.
|
Q: | May I bring my dog? |
A: | Dogs are welcome on a case by case basis with prior approval from the Executive Director.
|
Q: | What essentials should I pack? |
A: | Bring toiletries and your favorite pillow and blanket. Bedding and towels are not provided. Please plan to bring a twin size sheet and a queen size sheet (your bed will be either of these two sizes!) - if bringing both of these sizes is a problem for you let us know and we can help (or give you more specific information about what your cabin will be). Most of our mattresses are plastic, so we recommend a mattress pad to help provide a cozier sleeping experience.

Q: | What is the basic schedule for a three day retreat? |
A: | Day One: Check-in anytime between 3:00 and 6:00pm at Fletcher Hall. We will gather at 6 pm for dinner, followed by community reflection, and conversation. An optional service of compline will end our day.
Day Two: The day includes gatherings for community reflection, conversation, free time, community meals, optional communion bread baking, and prayer services.
Day Three: After breakfast we will gather for our closing service of Holy Communion with our final time of community reflection and conversation. You are free to depart anytime after the service, but are welcome to remain for lunch and relax at camp for a while. We ask that you are out of your cabins by 12pm but you are welcome to stay and enjoy camp through the rest of the evening.
Optional Day Four: Some retreat weekends will offer the option to add on an additional day to your retreat. Meals are not included in the add-on beyond lunch on Day Three. Lodging will be assigned by Camp Chickagami and check out on Day Four will be by 11am.

Q: | What is the refund policy? |
A: | To reserve your space, a $50 deposit is required at the time of registration. This deposit is nonrefundable.
|
Q: | Where will I stay? |
A: | You will be lodging in one of our many cabins throughout camp in a community setting. All accommodations are in close proximity to a bath-house and within walking distance to many different recreational and relaxation options on site.
|
Q: | Will camp accomodate a food allergy? |
A: | Your health and safety are our highest priority. If you have a food allergy, please include this information in your registration so we can make necessary arrangements. Feel free to contact our office before camp to discuss dietary issues to discuss how we can best accommodate you. For majorly restricted diets, we sometimes recommend that you provide our kitchen staff with supplemental food.
|
Q: | Will there be WIFI access? |
A: | There will be a WIFI hotspot available for use in Fletcher Dining Hall. Verizon and AT&T provide the best cell coverage; others are limited.
