| A: | We are a nut free campus. Please help us keep everyone safe and refrain from sending lunch or snack items that contain nuts.

| Q: | What if my child has special needs, allergies, or medical conditions? |
| A: | The 1870 Farm programs team strives to create an environment in which each and every camper can experience a fun and memorable time on our campus. We promise families that we will promote and maintain a safe, positive environment that encourages self-confidence and personal development while taking part in our camp programs. With this philosophy in mind, if your child has a physical/medical/emotional condition that may require an accommodation in order for him or her to participate in camp and our programing we ask that you contact our Summer Programs Director: director@1870farm.com or Amanda McKee: amanda@1870farm.com, prior to your registration. This contact will allow for the opening of a dialogue to determine whether or not the 1870 Farm camp program(s) will be appropriate for your child. We are a nut-free camp. Please fill out all of the relevant information on our medical form(s). Be sure to speak with your child’s counselors and feel free to contact our camp director if you have specific questions or information you would like us to know prior to your child attending camp. We work hard to make 1870 Farm Summer Camp a wonderful and positive experience for each and every camper.

| Q: | What is your discipline policy? |
| A: | We value kindness and cooperation between our campers while they are at camp. Because of this, we have an outlined Camper Behavior Contract that campers and parents must read and sign for each year. This details what we expect of our campers while at the farm and what our discipline/strike system is. A full copy of Camper Code of Conduct with discipline procedures can be found here.

| Q: | What time can I drop my child off in the morning? |
| A: | Drop-off begins at 8:30am. We also offer an early drop-off at 7:50AM.

| Q: | What will my child need to bring to camp each day? |
| A: | Children should bring a water bottle, snack, and lunch (NUT FREE) as well as sunscreen, bug spray (if desired), close-toed shoes and an extra change of clothes. Please send a bathing suit, towel and water shoes for water play. Please make sure that all items brought to camp are labeled with your child's name. Do not send your child to camp with anything valuable / that they cannot get dirty.

| Q: | Who is 1870 Farm Summer Camp for? |
| A: | Our all-day camp is for children ages 5-13 who love adventure, farm experiences, and making new friends! Our Junior Camp introduces campers ages 3.5-5 to our friendly farm animals, forest exploration and other age-appropriate crafts and activities. We also offer our Counselor-in-Training program for teens ages 14-16! Junior campers must be fully toilet trained.

All Day Camp |
| Q: | How long is the All Day Camp day? |
| A: | 1870 Farm Summer Camp run from 8:30am-3:30pm. We offer extended care for full day campers from 3:30 - 5:30 PM as well as early drop off (which begins at 7:50AM) for an additional cost.

| Q: | What is the role of a CIT? |
| A: | Campers are placed in groups by age. CIT’s will be assigned a group for the week and will stay with that same group throughout the week. CIT’s will assist counselors in providing a safe and fun experience for campers. They will help lead groups through activities including animal care, gardening, farm-to-table cooking, arts and crafts, fishing and more! Because our CIT's are also campers they will be participating in planned camp activities as well.

| Q: | Will there be activities for parents to attend? |
| A: | Yes! All of our camps have a Family Open Farm on Fridays. During this time, parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends have an opportunity to experience a bit of what their camper created and experienced during the camp week. Further details about Family Open Farm will be sent out during each camp week.
