Introduction to Oil Painting
Description
Have you ever wanted to learn oil painting, now is your chance! This 8 week class is an introductory course to provide students with a well-rounded oil painting foundation. Students will learn the basics of oil painting materials, from canvas to paint and mediums to explore what oil painting has to offer. Students will begin with a greyscale value study and color wheel study and create a fully developed color still life at the end of the session.

Students will learn to use oil painting and painting mediums to tone canvas, and render a still life in color, and mix color by incorporating glazing to finish. This class provides all materials including painting mediums.
