Continuing Practice in Soft Pastels | with Mary Firtl

This is an intermediate to advanced class for those experienced in the medium of soft pastels. Each week will consist of a new topic of discussion, demo, or quick exercise. Participants should have a good understanding of the medium and be open to trying new methods such as working from a still life, experimenting with underpainting techniques, as well as learning methods by both historical and contemporary pastelists and their approaches. Students will be provided ample time to work on their own projects with plenty of individual attention and group discussions in a friendly and supportive environment.
