Counselors in Training is open to participants entering 9th grade.

The CIT program is a wonderful experience that engages incoming 9th graders by preparing them to take on a new leadership role as a camp counselor. CITs learn how to administer games and activities and ensure the well-being and safety of all participants, while being fully supported by a staff team dedicated to their success. As we play our games, we'll be fully immersed and learning to apply the skills that each game teaches into every interaction we have with each other and every camper we work with at Walden West.

Since CITs participate and interact with the Summer Day Camp, the Thursday night BBQ, campfire, and overnight is included in their registration. We strongly encourage CITs to stay overnight, however they have the option to opt out. The CITs Thursday BBQ dinner and Friday breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee.
