Kanbe's Market & St. Paul's Food Pantry - Youth Kanbe’s Markets is on a mission to turn food waste into food access and would love for you to be a part of it. Our typical volunteer activity is sorting donated produce into four tiers: Healthy Corner Stores: Produce sold at affordable prices in low-access areas; Donation Partners: Imperfect produce given to area hunger relief partners; Animal Feed: Produce given to non profit animal sanctuaries; Compost: Moldy, spoiled, or rotten produce used to make compost
St. Paul’s KCMO Pantry has been a vital resource in our community for over 40 years. They strive to create an environment where all guests feel welcome, respected, and empowered. Today, we distribute free bags of groceries to anyone in need—no questions asked. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring food reaches those who need it most. Volunteers assist with: Unloading and sorting food deliveries, packing grocery bags with nutritious staples, organizing bulk items into smaller portions, greeting and assisting guests during their visit and helping distribute fresh produce and pantry staples.
Up to 10 youth and 2 adults will help at Kanbe’s in the morning and St. Paul’s KCMO Pantry in the afternoon. | |
