Hard Hats and Horse Sense: 6/29-7/3 at Trefoil Ranch (Entering Grades 6-7)
Description
Program Name
Hard Hats and Horse Sense: 6/29-7/3 at Trefoil Ranch (Entering Grades 6-7)

Program Description
Develop your equestrian skills this summer at Trefoil Ranch’s stables! You will visit the horses four times where you will learn new riding patterns, strengthen your trotting skills before transitioning to a canter, and enjoy a trail ride. Expand your ground school knowledge by getting the horses ready for the day in Saddle Club. You will help catch the horses from the pasture, feed them breakfast, and tack the horses. There will also be camper choice blocks where campers can select from a variety of classic Trefoil Ranch activities throughout the week.

Horseback Riding Programs
Campers in equestrian programs will be grouped according to experience level, and lessons for each group will be geared towards the least-experienced riders. Lessons include riding instruction, stable maintenance, and ground school (learning about the animals and tack and how to care for them).

Horseback riding is a sport that requires physical coordination, balance, and the ability to follow directions. Campers in horseback riding programs will hike to the stables for every horse program block, located three quarters of a mile uphill from the main camp. For everyone’s safety, participants not following directions from equestrian staff will not be permitted to ride. For the soundness and safety of our horses, riders may not exceed 250lbs.
