Cadette Outdoor Art (Grades 5-8) Explore how art and nature collide with the Outdoor Art Apprentice badge. This will be tons of creative fun for Cadettes. | |
Camp Tour and History (Grades 5-12) Ever wondered why camp is like that? Come and learn the history of Trefoil Ranch and how camp runs, then take a tour behind the scenes! This is not a badge earning session, but you will learn more about how awesome Trefoil Ranch is! This session is just for fun and to get excited about summer camp. | |
Crafts and Cadettes (Grades 5-8) Come work on the Collage Artist badge with Collages & Crafts! You’ll create a beautiful collage as you explore how to go further with your collage art. Then we’ll craft just for fun to get your creative juices flowing in an open-ended art project. Crafts will be different than last year and different than Crafts for Cadettes. | |
Hatchets (Grades 5-12) Join us at the hatchet throwing range for a hatchet throwing lesson and session! This is an awesome way to explore an activity that’s just for older Girl Scouts. This session is hands-on and includes tons of axe throwing on our range, and also works towards the Field Day badge. | |
Low Ropes (Grades 9-12) Come strengthen team building skills with us! You’ll work with fellow Girl Scouts to complete teamwork challenges on our low ropes course. Low ropes will include physical challenges meant to learn team building skills, and will work towards the Trailblazing badge. | |
Outdoor Cooking (Grades 5-8) Get ready to put your outdoor cooking skills to the test. After learning about how to calculate fire temperatures, you’ll whip up a sweet French toast bake in a Dutch oven with your friends, make some campfire popcorn, and more! This is all about outdoor cooking techniques you might not have tried while working towards your New Cuisines badge. | |
Outdoor Survival Skills (Grades 5-12) In this outdoor skills workshop, you will get a start on your 10 essentials kit! The 10 essentials kit is made up of the 10 types of things you need to survive in the wild. You’ll start to assemble your kit, learn how to use your items, and then learn how to take your survival skills to the next level. This session may complete steps of outdoor badges, but is meant to enrich your outdoor skills and preparedness. | |

Space Science Badge Work (Grades 5-12) Get ready to celebrate all things astronomy with us! This workshop focuses on the sun, with activities like using an infrared camera, discovering the power of telescopes, and exploring how we perceive different wavelengths of light, then dive into NASA’s heliophysics research. This workshop will complete at least one step of each level’s Space Science badge. | |

This is a hands-on experience for older Girl Scouts to hone observation skills while learning about native plants (depending on what’s growing) as well as science behind conservation. This session may work towards outdoor science badges, and it is skills focused. If you like this session, you’ll love our full day Outdoor Scientist Day in June! | |
