Description
OVERVIEW
The SALT (Service And Leadership Training) Program is a group of teens who work under the direction of the SALT Shaker in taking care of the physical needs of the camp. That could include, but is not limited to,
cleaning and assisting in the kitchen and dining room, cleaning the cabins, bathrooms, and camp grounds. SALTeens also serve in program areas as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 14 years of age.
• A willingness to grow in a personal relationship with God as his/her Savior.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and is able and willing to follow an exhausting weekly schedule
yet be flexible when needed.

REQUIREMENTS
• Complete all needed paperwork for Camp (Includes, but not limited to, Application, Food Handler, etc).
• Spend a minimum of 30 minutes to have a personal quiet time each day with God and seek to know and love Him with all you are.
• While serving as a SALT focus your time, attention and energy to the task given you.
• Work as a team with other SALTeens and under the authority of the SALT Shaker.
• Follow the directions of the SALT Shaker who will serve and at times work along side you as you are performing your job.
• Work to develop a team spirit and focus with the rest of the SALTeens and summer staff by loving and serving one another.
• Share concerns or ideas about any aspect of the camp program respectfully with the Guest Services Director and/or Executive Director. Refrain from gossip by talking to others about an issue of concern.
Seek to contribute positively to the quality of the overall camp program.
• If a problem or disagreement arises with another staff member, first talk with the other person, then, if needed, talk to the SALT Shaker, Guest Services Director, and/or Executive Director. Do not talk to anyone who is not a part of the problem or solution.
• Take assigned breaks each day.
• Be in bed each night at lights out time so you have the needed rest to serve at Camp.
• Attend daily SALT meetings and have your discipleship study done and ready to discuss it.
• Attend closing All Staff meeting each Friday.
• Assist the entire Camp Staff in cleaning the camp each Friday before being dismissed.
• Inform the Guest Services Director which weeks you will be available to serve on camp staff during the summer.
• SALTeens who are under 18 years of age must go home each weekend that work is not happening at Camp.
• Attend church each Sunday morning.
• During the Camp Week, do not leave SBYCamp without informing and receiving permission from the Guest Services Director.
• Do not invite anyone to visit you at Camp without first informing and receiving permission from the Guest Services Director.
• Refrain from developing a romantic relationship with any member of the camp staff during the entire summer ministry.
• Turn in your cell phone each week on Sunday afternoon. You may use it during your breaks and will get it back on Friday afternoon.
• Do not consume any alcohol, drugs or tobacco while serving at SBYCamp

SALARY
• $50 each week
• Food and housing is included during the weeks you work.

o Weeks of SALT will be determined by the Camp Directors.
o Quality of work & attitude will determine how many weeks you are allowed to SALT.
