Christmas in Mexico is not just the 25th of December - it's a whole season that runs from December 8 to January 6, with all kinds of fun and joyful traditions to experience! This weekend overnight workshop, led by our native-speaking Spanish staff, will prepare you with food, crafts, music, and more that you can bring home with you to share with family and friends throughout the Mexican Christmas season. For those who love to cook (or love to learn!) we'll be making traditional foods such as tamales, tortillas, mole, and pozole. If you'd like to practice your artistic skills, we'll be making traditional crafts such as Christmas tree ornaments made from felt or tin. And of course, it wouldn't be Mexican Christmas without songs, dances, and piñatas! This program will be predominantly held in English, with Spanish songs and language peppered throughout.
