Engineering Challenge: Bridge of Strength
Description
This week, campers will explore the world of structural engineering by designing and constructing bridges using limited materials such as popsicle sticks, glue, and rubber bands. They will investigate key concepts like load distribution, tension, and compression, and apply these principles to build a bridge that can hold heavy loads without collapsing. Students will test their designs with real-world weight and analyze how the materials react under pressure, challenging themselves to find the perfect balance between strength, stability, and material efficiency.
