Engineering Challenge: Rocket Lab: Flight to the Future
Description
Blast off into the world of aerospace engineering in this high-flying challenge! Campers will design and build water rockets that are launched using air pressure. They will experiment with different water levels, air pressures, and rocket shapes to optimize for maximum flight distance. Students will learn about the concepts of thrust, drag, and lift, and how these forces interact in flight. As they launch their rockets, they’ll track data like flight distance and launch angles, then use this information to refine and perfect their designs for the highest and farthest flight possible.
