ASHI Child and Babysitting Safety: Dodge City
Description
The American Health and Safety Institute will provide training for youth who are planning to provide babysitting services for young children and infants. The program includes instruction on the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills, and guidelines on how to recognize and handle problems that may occur. The goal of this training is to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively supervise and manage children in their care. Kansas law does not specify a minimum age for babysitters; the recommended age is 12-13, depending on readiness, maturity, and responsibility.
