Spring 2025:
Small World, Big Circle: Covenanting Together in Faith and Service
Rev. Jonathan Bradner
In “Small World, Big Circle,” we will explore the deep threads that bind our faith communi-ties—locally and globally—and re-flect on our covenantal responsibil-ity to engage in meaningful service together. From our local churches to our associations, conference, and denomination, we are woven into a larger fabric of faith, united by our commitment to justice and compas-sion. Rev. Jonathan Bradner will share stories of how this cove-nant has taken shape in his advoca-cy work, from local human rights efforts to broader initiatives like the International Affairs Seminar, where the Heartland Conference and Christian Church of Ohio brought youth to Washington, D.C., and New York City, to explore glob-al issues. Jonathan will also discuss a recent delegation pilgrimage to Kenya, where decades-long rela-tionships were revived with the Presbyterian Teachers College at Rubate and new connections formed with the Charles Musyoka Matuku Foundation. Together, we’ll reflect on how these threads call us into action, moving us beyond our own circles into a covenant of shared responsibility for the world.
