In Emerging Artists Company, students will participate in a rigorous acting class that will build on past experience and current competencies to develop vocal technique, physical commitment, script analysis, and the actor’s imagination. Working with a script, the camp will culminate in a full-scale production with a set, costumes, and lighting designed and produced by local professionals. The show will be directed by our Director of Education/Interim Artistic Director, Colin Peterson. The process is run like a professional production and is perfect for the student looking to grow and hone their acting skills.

Show Description:
The legend of Peter Pan has been delighting children for over 100 years, and this faithful new version is a festive adventure, perfect for the whole family. Featuring music and lyrics by the award-winning duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, this enchanting musical follows Peter and the Darling family as they are whisked away to the famous land full of colorful characters including the Lost Boys, Tinker Bell and, of course, the dastardly Captain Hook. With a spectacular mix of swashbuckling adventure, jaw-dropping flying and an infectious score, Peter Pan is guaranteed to bring forth your inner child, sending you reeling “Just Beyond the Stars.”

August 3rd at 2pm (12:15pm Call Time)

For one hour following the closing performance, ALL STUDENTS WILL BE EXPECTED TO HELP WITH STRIKE.

Ticket Information
All tickets will be available 2 weeks prior to the performances. All students receive four complimentary tickets for the weekend run. Additional tickets may be purchased for $15 each. More information will be released to those in the class during camp!

Join us for a production and not only fill three weeks of your summer puzzle, but also save on summer! Our productions run the course of three weeks, which comes to $210 per week. That is $160 off per week of our typical summer camps! This price includes free extended care.

NCT’s focus is always the healthy development of young people. We believe that the skills that students learn in the process of creative play will serve them in their everyday lives as well as provide a foundation if they choose to continue to more theatre work (which we hope they do!).

NCT offers free extended care for our families. Before Care opens at 7:30AM and After Care closes at 5:30PM. You can add this service during registration or on a day-to-day basis during the camp week. Extended care consists of supervised unstructured free time. Students are welcome to bring a book or electronic device (that NCT is not responsible for). During After Care, we will also have a daily option of a G or PG-rated children’s movie playing as an activity choice.
