Dancing Days
Description
Jump into ballet/dance technique class in the morning and dance improv class in the afternoons or vice versa, as we incorporate other popular dance genres e.g., Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary. Each day will be a little different, but the focus is on general dance technique. Students will focus on learning new steps and styles each day. During daily dance improv class students will develop their own unique movement vocabulary and practice fun and engaging Improv games/exercises with no set movements. We will also share biography stories about famous choreographers' approaches to dance movement and Improv.
This program is taught and designed by Lauren Layman who has 20 years of youth dance teaching experience in Portland, Mexico & Poland, and Annabelle Gump, a graduate of Classical Ballet Academy and a major in dance, math and dance therapy.
