A Competition of Numbers: Week One
Description
In this two week math camp, students will cultivate their problem solving skills by working through a math curriculum inspired by the AMC 10 and Mathcounts competitions. Topics will be organized by first covering Counting and Probability, then Algebra with Number Theory, and lastly Geometry. Students will work both collaboratively and independently, and they will have opportunities to present solutions to the class and receive feedback from each other. Our instructors Greg Drugan and Weiyong He with their combined experience of over 20 years teaching math from elementary to college level have designed this camp for students in grades 6-10 who have completed at least one year of Algebra and are excited about working on challenging math problems ( DAILY SCHEDULE 9:00am- 12:30pm campers can stay for lunch if they want) ***Highly recommended that your camper signs up for both weeks***
