Session 3 2025 (Shark Week)
Description
All the fun of Sea Stars Marine Camp with a focus on Sharks! Your child will explore the biology and ecology of these fascinating and misunderstood keystone predators. Through hands-on activities, campers will learn fun facts about sharks’ lives from their diets and teeth to their habitats and conservation efforts. It will also include a trip to the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead where campers are guided in small groups through the exhibits by educators. All sessions consist of guided nature walks through the Fuchs Pond Preserve, campers will explore our coastal woodlands and freshwater pond and get a chance to collect and observe these wonderful creatures. Campers will also enjoy a trip to Sunken Meadow State Park's salt marsh where campers will experience seining and interact with local marine life with our on staff Marine Biologist!
