Global Biomes: Bio 627 B
Description
This Advanced Inquiry Program course (Global Biomes Bio 627) investigates the concept of biomes, and the relevance of biomes to conservation. This course investigates the biomes of the world with a focal biome being explored in-depth each semester. Students discuss topics such as gradients/ecoclines, trends in biodiversity, and differences among marine, terrestrial, and anthropogenic biomes. This is a Miami University online course with experiential learning on-site at Woodland Park Zoo as a Dragonfly Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) Master Institution.

Online web-based learning is January 27 – April 12. In-person Course dates: Sunday February 23rd, Saturday March 8th and Saturday April 12th

This class is available only for Woodland Park Zoo’s Advanced Inquiry Students.


The Advanced Inquiry Program is a one-of-a-kind master’s program that allows you to pursue your passion in collaborative inquiry and conservation action at the Woodland Park Zoo while earning either an M.A. or M.A.T. degree in biology through Miami University.
