Learn to Knit
Description
Join us for an exciting all new Learn to Knit format. We will be a small class knitting Ysolda Teague’s Garter Scarf. This two-class series is an excellent beginner project which comes with video tutorials and personal instruction by Alexis D’Arcy. This class is for the beginner who has never knit before but is curious about this fun and rewarding fiber craft. You will be introduced to basic knitting terminology; how to read a pattern; yarn weight classifications; construction of the foundational knit stitch; how to cast on and bind off, and the finishing and blocking process.

Class Materials
Materials will be provided as a kit from Knit Tuck & Purl in Lexington, MA. Your kit will include: the pattern, two skeins of bulky-weight yarn in the color of your choice; a project bag; 24-inch size US 8 stainless steel chiaogoo circular needles; a tape measure, and a tapestry needle for finishing and weaving in ends.

$55 for a Learn to Knit Kit; you will be put in touch with Alexis once you have registered to coordinate purchasing the materials.
