Fashion Design: K - 5th
Description
This course aims to teach children from preschool to 5th grade about the importance of environmental protection through fashion design. Children will learn to create unique fashion pieces using everyday items and discarded materials while enhancing their environmental awareness, creativity, hands-on skills, imagination, and confidence.

Course Content:
1. Fashion Design Appreciation:
Introduce various types of fashion design and help children explore their preferred styles.
Discuss and set a theme for the fashion show together.

2. Material Collection and Preparation:
Guide children in collecting recyclable materials from home and school, such as old clothes, old shoes, plastic bottles, cardboard, newspapers, etc. Incorporate everyday materials into fashion design.
Introduce how to draw fashion design sketches and guide children in creating their designs.

3. Design and Creativity:
Stimulate children's creativity and guide them in designing fashion pieces.
Learn basic fashion design knowledge, such as cutting, sewing, and decoration techniques.
4. Fashion Creation:
Starting from the third week, guide children to turn their design sketches into actual pieces using safe tools and materials.
Create themed outfits, accessories, handheld items, and revamped shoes.
5. Fashion Show and Evaluation:
From the tenth week, organize fashion show rehearsals where children can showcase their creations.
Invite parents and other students to watch the fashion show in the final week. Encourage children to explain their design concepts and production processes, and conduct peer evaluations and feedback.
