Chinese Mythology & 3D Stop Motion Animation [K - 2nd]
Description
This course is designed to introduce children to the rich mythology of China and stop-motion animation techniques. By studying Chinese mythological stories, children will gain an understanding of ancient Chinese culture and traditional values, and will vividly present these stories through stop-motion animation techniques.

Course Content:
1. Introduction to Chinese Mythological Stories: The course will introduce classic Chinese mythological stories, such as "Journey to the West," allowing children to understand ancient Chinese culture and traditional values. Divide students into different groups to work on various parts of the animation.

2. Fundamentals of Stop-Motion Animation: Learning the basic principles and techniques of stop-motion animation, including story, scene design, and puppet making.

3. Character Design and Production: Guiding children to design and create 3D characters with paper cutting, clay, fabricating and wool felt, and learning how to give characters movements.

4. Plot Creation: Cultivating children's creativity and imagination through story creation, and learning how to translate storylines into animation scenes.

5. Stop-Motion Animation Production: Shooting characters and scenes frame by frame, and producing continuous animation sequences. The teacher will composite the film together. Let the children pick music and be voice actors.

6. Production Showcase: Finally, children will showcase their stop-motion animation works and share their creativity and achievements with family and classmates.

Course Objectives:
By participating in this course, children will:
- Understand Chinese mythological culture and traditional values;
- Master the basic principles and techniques of stop-motion animation;
- Enhance creativity and imagination;
- Develop teamwork and communication skills;
- Cultivate confidence to showcase individual creativity and achievements.

This course will provide children with an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience, sparking their interest in Chinese culture and animation production, and nurturing their creativity and expressive abilities.
