Canoeing Middle/High School This week long skills class will teach campers the basics of canoeing including various strokes, steering, what to do if you tip over, etc. At the end of the week participants will enjoy a 2 hour canoe trip on the river between camp and Lake Bemidji. | |
Challenge Course This week long skills class will help campers develop better communication, team work, and problem solving skills. Participants should come prepared to be challenged both mentally and physically. Hiking boots or tennis shoes required to participate. | |
Disc Golf In this week long skills class participants will learn the basics of disc golf. This skills class includes a trip to the local disc golf course in Bemidji at the end of the week. All needed equipment is provided, participants may bring their own discs if desired. | |
Exploring God's World Want to know how to tell an oak tree from a maple? Want to learn how to build a campfire? Want to know how to use a compass? If you answered yes to any of these, then Exploring God's World is the skills class for you. In this weeklong skills class, you'll learn all this and more. | |
Hand Crafts In this week long skills class campers will complete a variety of craft projects. One of the activities will be custom tie-dying of a shirt. Participants may bring their own shirt or purchase a shirt for use with this class. | |
Red Cross Learn to Swim Lessons Certified Red Cross Swim Lessons for beginning swimmers. | |
Sailing This week long class will give participants the opportunity to learn the basics of sailing a small 1-2 person sailboat. | |
Shooting Sports This skills class will cover basic shooting sports safety and include instruction in Archery, Air Rifle, and Sling Shot. Participants will have the opportunity to shoot for rank in Archery and Air Rifle. | |
