Week 8 Cowboy Horse Camp
Description
Cowboy Horse Camp is filled with adventures for the horse-loving kid! Campers will spend time with horses through daily time at the ranch. Campers will be divided into groups based on their riding ability. They will spend 3 hours each morning at the Ranch, dividing their time between “rodeo games” like egg and spoon, capture the flag, barrels and poles, as well as ground lesson time. Ground time includes safety lessons, leading, saddling, and grooming horses. Other activities may include: driving the draft team, giving horses a bath, cleaning the tack, making a project in the leather shop. During one of the afternoons they will go with their cabin on an extended 2-hour trail ride. Cowboy Campers will get to experience horse camping when they ride out to spend one night “roughing it” in tents at our Outpost Campsite.

When not at the ranch, they will join with Voyager campers to enjoy other camp activities and deepen their understanding of God through chapel sessions and bible studies. No previous horse experience is necessary.

Horse camp for campers who are completing or have completed grades 6-9 during the current school year. (2024-2025).
