Explore and create great art after school! In this program, students will learn about various mediums, including watercolor, oil, chalk pastel and acrylic, as they bring their own unique masterpieces to life. They will be introduced to color theory, composition, and technique, providing a solid foundation for artistic expression. Current contemporary artists, as well as the master painters, will be the inspiration as students create still life, landscapes, and abstract works. A few projects could include plaster gauze hearts, Jasper John’s initials, and sheep in a snowstorm. Beautifully mounted artwork will go home every 1 to 2 weeks.
