Reading & Writing Workshop-5th
Description
Reading & Writing Workshop: 5th Grade
Grade 5

Designed specifically for rising 5th graders, this workshop provides a supportive and engaging space for students to strengthen their reading and writing skills before the school year begins. Each day, campers will engage in a blend of interactive reading activities and guided writing exercises to build confidence and fluency in both areas.

In reading, students will practice comprehension strategies, explore different genres, and discuss key literary elements like character, setting, and theme. In writing, they will develop their skills through journaling, structured exercises, and creative storytelling, with a focus on organization, sentence structure, and word choice. This camp not only helps ease the transition to 5th-grade English and Social Studies, but also fosters a love of reading and writing through fun, interactive activities. By the end of the week, students will feel more prepared and confident heading into the school year!
