Writing Workshop: 1st Grade
Grades: 1

Young writers will embark on a creative journey this week as they explore the process of crafting their own stories! This workshop emphasizes handwriting, fine motor skills, and sentence composition, giving campers the tools to write and illustrate their ideas. Through fun, hands-on activities like storyboarding, letter tracing, and word-building, students will practice sounding out words, forming sentences, and brainstorming creative ideas. The week will foster confidence in writing while encouraging imagination and self-expression. Writing samples and a camp summary will be sent home at the end of the week to celebrate progress and highlight areas for continued growth.
