Staff in Training
Description
The Staff-In-Training Program teaches our older campers all aspects of working in a camp setting. They will learn what it takes to become a Counselor, Kitchen Staff member, Program Specialist, and Camp Leadership.

During the first week, all campers will participate in an abbreviated staff training; learning positive behavior management, problem solving, emergency procedures, and risk management. In the second week, campers will shadow staff to gain an in-depth knowledge of how all areas of camp operate.

This program is for youth who are highly motivated, ready to work and play hard and who demonstrate additional responsibility in accepting the challenges of leadership. The training provided in this program will help prepare participants for leadership roles in all walks of life, specifically those that involve the leadership of children.

All Leadership Development camps at Paradise Point Camp count as volunteer or service hours and staff are happy to sign off on paperwork or provide letters of completion or recommendation to successful Staff In Training after camp.
