Take a step into the Mammal Hall and learn the secrets that have helped California wildlife survive and thrive in the unique biome that is Santa Barbara. Learn the secrets of Seal Blubber and Sea Otter fur, and why the black bear has reigned supreme in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Learn the tracks of coyote and compare them to those of our k9 companions! We will hone our observational skills and learn the ways of the wild.
Are you curious about what animals hop vs those that trot or run? What is the difference between a bobcat track and a coyote? Learn with us the tracks we find all over Santa Barbara and how to create a cast or mold of tracks you can find in your own back yard!
