Thurs. May 22 - Sea Center Field Trip
Take a step into the Mammal Hall and learn the secrets that have helped California wildlife survive and thrive in the unique biome that is Santa Barbara. Learn the secrets of Seal Blubber and Sea Otter fur, and why the black bear has reigned supreme in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Learn the tracks of coyote and compare them to those of our k9 companions! We will hone our observational skills and learn the ways of the wild.
We are delighted to offer a variety of NGSS-aligned guided school field trip programs for the 2024–25 school year, designed for grades K–12.

Field trips at the Sea Center will include:

A fun, interactive topic-driven program delivered outside on Stearns Wharf – right above the sea!

A tour of the Sea Center’s first floor, through interpreter-led touch-tank and hands-on exhibits that highlight content covered in each grade-specific program.

An exclusive, interpreter-led scavenger hunt on the second floor of the Sea Center.
