Description
All are welcome! We are pleased to offer Camp Stuart to our youngest boys and girls (ages 3, 4, 5) for a fun summer experience for one or multiple weeks during our camp season. Our co-ed program provides exploration for young learners. The main objective is to provide an environment in which the children are involved in a broad range of recreational, intellectual and artistic activities and to have FUN! The campers engage in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, hikes on the nature trail, block play, music, reading, water play, sand play, and dramatic play. We cover different topics throughout the summer. A few topics previously covered include Transportation, Let’s Travel, and Me & My Friends.
Camp is offered for 3 or 5 full or half days during the summer. Hours are 9:00-3:00 (full day) or 9:00-1:00 (half day). Children do not need to be enrolled at Stuart in order to attend. Your child needs to be 3 by June 1 and potty trained to enroll.
This session DOES NOT include lunch for your camper. Lunch can be added in the Options menu for $40/5 day week or $24/3 day week. The daily hot lunch and sides will be provided if you purchase the lunch plan.

She is very dedicated and committed to engaging students in culturally and developmentally appropriate activities. She has been at Stuart since 2019. Since then she not only worked with the Lower School Extended Day Program but has also been part of our Camp Stuart every summer as one of our lead teachers. Her teaching style is marked by patience, creativity, and flexibility, always adapting to the needs and abilities of her students. Juana finds immense joy in setting aside the complexities of life to see the world through the eyes of the children she teaches. This genuine love for her work is reflected in the positive and nurturing environment she creates in her classroom.
In spring 2022, Juana embraced a new role as the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Coordinator in the Lower School. In this position, she collaborates with the Lower School Diversity Board leaders, serving as a valuable resource for the LS faculty. Juana takes the lead in coordinating developmentally-appropriate DEIB programming for students. This involves planning and executing assemblies, workshops, morning meeting activities, student presentations, and hosting guest speakers each month to highlight cultural focuses, holidays, or traditions. Her commitment extends to supporting the DEIB Director and the Office of DEIB by sharing information about school-wide DEIB initiatives with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and parents within their division. Juana Rosario's multifaceted role reflects her dedication to creating an inclusive and enriching educational experience for all students in the Lower School.

She joined the Stuart team in the summer of 2023, working closely with pre-school aged children and is honored to be able to jump back in where she left off. When she is not at school being a teacher, she is a Volunteer Firefighter at Millstone Valley Fire Department. She gets the best of both worlds because she gets to pursue both of her dreams on a daily basis. Having the opportunity to teach alongside the best teachers as well as learn and grow with her students is her biggest passion. These wonderful students are the reason she keeps pushing to better herself to become the best teacher she can be. She looks forward to continuing learning, guiding and growing with your children and make this the best summer yet!
