Week 4- Millie's Engineers
Description
This week, our campers will dive headfirst into the exciting world of STEM! From coding and circuitry to construction and design, they’ll tackle hands-on projects that spark curiosity and creativity. Along the way, they’ll explore engineering concepts, problem-solving skills, and innovation, culminating in a showcase of their amazing creations at the end of the week

This camp includes a morning snack and lunch for your camper.

Faculty Bios:

Kate O'Brian, LS STEM Teacher: Kate joined the Stuart community in 2024 after two years of special education experience teaching Lower School Makerspace and Middle School STEAM. Kate earned a B.A. in studio art at Georgetown University, where she also minored in education, inquiry, & justice, and later received an M.S.Ed. in learning sciences & technologies from the University of Pennsylvania. Kate is passionate about applying her creative background to help students cultivate a life-long love of STEM through hands-on projects inside the classroom and outdoors. She also serves as the Middle School Robotics Coach.

Amanda Rivenburgh, Lower School Academic Support Specialist: Amanda joined Stuart from Moorestown Friends School in 2021. A graduate of MFS, Amanda also has been a second and fourth grade teacher at the school. She has had training in Wilson Reading, Reading and Writing Workshop, and the Responsive Classroom among other PD experiences. Amanda has a B.A. in English from Franklin and Marshall, an M.A. in teaching from Sarah Lawrence, and a reading specialist certification from the University of Pennsylvania.
