Ready for an outdoor adventure like no other? Slip on your boots and join Mrs. Poch, Mrs. Hunt, and Ms. Cranney, our expert Environmentalist and Outdoor Educator, for an exciting week of discovery on Stuart’s beautiful campus. Spend your mornings exploring the lush forest and your afternoons investigating the health of the stream, all while learning about fish, plants, and fascinating organisms. While the camp is rooted in outdoor fun, we’ll mix in refreshing indoor activities in our air-conditioned spaces to keep things comfortable. Get ready to connect with nature, make new friends, and unleash your inner Nature Girl!
This camp includes a morning snack and lunch for your camper.

Faculty Bios:
Karen Poch joined the Stuart Lower School Faculty as the junior kindergarten teacher in 2018. Prior to coming to Stuart, she taught pre-K, kindergarten, first, and second grade. She received her TESOL certification in 2012 and was a virtual ESL teacher for six years. She has contributed to several committees at Stuart, has taught the Stuart Summer Academy, and facilitated the Stuart ToTS program. She is passionate about bringing creative and innovative ideas to each of her lessons while implementing Best Practices in early childhood education. In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her family and spoiling her two dogs.

Colleen Cranney began her career as a high school science and math teacher, but has spent the past 20 years working as an Environmental Educator at nature centers in Chester County, PA. As an amateur naturalist, she also volunteers with local land conservancies leading volunteer workdays on the trails and guiding nature hikes. Her passion is connecting people to the outdoors. Colleen has made guest appearances at Stuart’s Lower School over the past few years, and her claim to fame is being Mrs. Poch’s sister!
