Welcome to the Stuart Basketball Camp, where we provide a fun and challenging environment for players of all skill levels to improve their game. Our camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball, including shooting, basic techniques of shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, and defense, team strategies and game play. Stuart’s Sports Camp is developed with the same philosophy as our interscholastic athletic program, which develops strong athletes who are physically, mentally and emotionally prepared to contribute to their team and to society.

Coach Tony Bowman, along with players on the Varsity Basketball team will provide personalized instruction to each camper, helping them to identify areas of strength and weakness and develop a plan for improvement. We use a variety of drills and games to keep the sessions engaging and challenging, and our emphasis is on building skills and confidence in a supportive and positive environment.

In addition to on-court training, our campers will also participate in team-building exercises and mental skills training to help them develop a competitive mindset and work effectively with their teammates. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced player striving to take your game to the next level, our camp has something for everyone. Come join us and take your basketball skills to new heights!

This session DOES NOT include lunch for your camper. Lunch can be added in the Options menu for $40/week.

Faculty Bio:
Coach A. Terrance Bowman commonly known as Tony was born & raised a native of Trenton, NJ. As a young player he attended Pennington Prep and further his high school education in Thomas Jefferson High School, Fairfax County, Virginia. Where he led scoring and rebounding and was honored as player of the week by the Washington Post over 10 weeks. Played in the McDonalds Capital Classic preliminary game. Was honored as a First Team All Regional Player which included players from Washington, Maryland and Virginia.

Tony continued playing and coaching abroad and returned to play at Mercer County Community College before graduating from The College of New Jersey with a major in finance and a minor in business. During his tenure in both schools, he led in scoring and rebounding. After playing, Tony started and financed a basketball camp for underprivileged children.

Coach Bowman was the League Commissioner for the Trenton’s Men Summer Unlimited Basketball Program. This league was a source for college and prominent high school players to show their talents. He coached boys and the girls Varsity Basketball Teams at the Mercer Christian Academy. Each team had a continuous winning season (17+) for three consecutive years. Previously, Tony coached Stuart Country Day School for 5 years and returned in 2023. His passion for coaching also led him to coach boys and girls AAU basketball teams.

Stuart Camp Lunch 2024
Lunch (5 Day)
Lunch is available for purchase for $40/week for half day programs and Camp Stuart preschool programs. All other full day programs include lunch. For Lower, Middle, and Upper School camps, morning sessions end at 11:45 and afternoon sessions begin at 12:15. Lunch is held in the Student Center from 11:45-12:15. 		+ $40.00
