Camp Care: Safe Sitter Certification and First Aid Basics
Description
Welcome to Camp Care, where young caregivers transform into confident, capable, and creative babysitters! This hands-on camp is designed for teens and pre-teens who want to learn the essentials of childcare in a fun and engaging environment. In addition to becoming Safe Sitter certified, students will learn how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies, develop child care skills, first aid and rescue skills, and life & business skills. Ms. Lesinski, our resident EMT will spend time training students on tactical first aid and tour an ambulance! Participants will graduate with a babysitting toolkit, including a personalized guidebook, emergency contact templates, and practice with children’s games and activities. Whether you're a first-time sitter or want to enhance your skills, this camp will prepare you to be the go-to babysitter in your community!
