"Academy of Prince" is a fun, interactive, and immersive experience for youth where they will learn about Prince's legacy and the "Minneapolis sound" and use that as inspiration to write and record original music inspired by one of the greatest artists of our time, Prince! We will explore the intersection of music and mental health. We welcome student musicians, singers, poets and creative individuals of all learning styles and abilities as long as they are kind, loving, and respectful. Our one-week curriculum teaches history, songwriting, production, and recording and culminates with a special listening session. Students will work individually and collectively to write and record original songs with professional sound engineers, vocalists, and musicians to guide you. Our teachers and special guests include scholars and musicians who worked with Prince. You will learn the history of Prince and the Minneapolis sound and be inspired. You will make real music with real musicians just as Prince preached.

Registration for Academy of Prince requires a parent & student interview with our vendor to ensure campers are a good fit for the program and have the appropriate musical background for this week of camp. Registration for this program is not complete until this has occurred and payment is completed.
