Join Summit teacher Dr. Kristen Fleming for an exciting journey back in time as we explore the history of Cincinnati! Campers will step into the past, uncovering how our city grew from a small frontier town into the vibrant, modern ‘Nati we know today. From the days of Ft. Washington and "Porkopolis" to the rise of the Big Red Machine, Cincinnati’s history is full of surprises.

Through field trips to historic sites around the city and hands-on activities, campers will experience the transformation of Cincinnati’s landscapes, from the riverfront lined steamboats to the modern city linked by freeways. They’ll also discover how our city faced challenges, like flooding, and how it became the thriving metropolis we live in today. By the end of the camp, campers will have a new appreciation for the history that shapes Cincinnati and its unique features!
