Our full day camp for campers grades 5-8 create their own schedule each week, choosing from a variety of activities. Classes run one week at a time from July 28 - August 1.

Activities
ArtVentures
This class offers exciting ways to take ordinary materials and make something extraordinary. If you love to create and learn about art, this class is the right one for you. Join the fun for each new and exciting week of learning with new materials, ideas, and techniques.
Athletic Camp (Volleyball Camp, Grades 6-8) Register separately.
This is for campers registering for both Summer Place and Summer Volleyball Camp, grades 6-8). You must register for Summer Volleyball Camp separately.

Big Buddies
Campers will spend time doing fun activities with our Kinder Place and Fun Place campers (free play, teach and play games, and learn strategies for working with younger campers).
Bistro Kids
(Double-block class) Learn how to cook like a chef! Prepare and cook your own lunch (and lunch for the counselors) including dessert.

Camp Announcements and Podcast Team
Join the CAP Team to create daily lunch announcements and the new camp podcast. Campers will create the podcast crew interview guests to talk about fun summer camp topics. The podcast will video record fun clips to share with campers at the end of the week.
Camp Instagram
MPH summer camp is joining Instagram. Camp Instagram will share the fun that happens at camp!
Camper's Day Out
(Double-block class) A fun off-campus outing with different destinations each week. (Schedules are subject to change.) Weeks 1 and 4: Manlius Library & Ice Cream, Zoo, Movies, Bowling, Webster Pond Weeks 2 and 5: Butternut Creek, Miniature Golf, Clark Reservation, Big Don's, Chittenango Falls Weeks 3 and 6: Green Lakes, Zoo, Sky Zone, Bowling, Butternut Creek

Carnival Crew
This class will create and design the games for the carnival during Carnival Week for all MPH campers to enjoy.
Chess
This class is best for beginner or intermediate level players.
Crochet Workshop
Daily Paper: Summer Place Times
Campers create the Daily Paper with basic journalism skills including interviewing, editing and layout. The paper is distributed daily during lunch time.
Gone Fishing
(Double-block class) Learn how to bait a hook, cast, and fish with a bobber. A fishing pole is required. Fishing is done off campus.

Improv Comedy Club
This class will be one of creativity and fun! Campers will participate in fun activities in which they will learn to use their wit with quick responses in a super fun setting along with some funny joke telling.
Jeff's Variety Class
Join Jeff the Magic Man for fun activities including magic, balloons, cartoon drawing, wizard potion making, and juggling!
Karaoke
Have fun singing along to your favorite songs.
Nail & Hair Design
Learn how to design nails, create cool hair designs, and more.
Off-Broadway - On-Summer Place!
(Double-block class) Campers will work together to create a theatrical performance that they will perform for fellow campers at the end of the week. Students will learn about stage presence, positioning, and performance, all while enjoying creating the show. No previous acting experience is needed!
Off-Broadway - Stagehand and Design
(Double-block class) In this class, you'll create the set and make the entire production come alive! Show is at the end of the week.
Outdoor Games
Play a variety of fun outdoor games including croquet, lawn darts, paddle and pickle ball, bocce ball, Can Jam, horseshoes and more!
Ping-Pong
Enjoy this highly popular recreational and competitive sport as you learn how to play table tennis correctly.
Pokemon
Have fun trading cards, and learning and playing the game. Water type, fire type - this class is for every type!
Rugby
Learn and play the international game of Rugby in a friendly, non-contact environment. Campers will learn the basic skills and rules of Rugby.
Sports Combination
Play basketball, soccer, team handball, and more.
Summer Science
From nature activities to fun experiments, get ready to see how cool science can be.
Team Challenge
Campers will work together with teammates to complete the daily challenges.
Ultimate Kickball
Play a different style of kickball each day - Longball, Matball, Six Base, Survivor, and more!
Upcycled Fashion Runway
We'll go shopping at the local thrift store and choose items to upcycle, turning them into cool pieces of clothing that you'll want to wear. You'll show them off on the runway at the end of the week.
