Engineering Explorations
Description
What kind of engineer do you want to be? To find out, you will get to do what students at one of the best colleges in the world do. During freshman year, MIT’s students take classes in every branch of engineering and only then decide their major. This week, you will be just like any MIT student and learn about mechanical, civil, and aerospace engineering. From rocket launching to building with concrete, and to throwing an egg out of a window without breaking it, you will conduct many fun hands-on experiments and learn about the science behind them. You will collaborate with others to do real-world problem-solving to make your projects work better. You will have so much fun learning about the different types of engineering; you will have a hard time choosing a favorite!
