NEO Engineering Rides & Sports Camp
Neo Engineering rides exposes the science and technology behind the rides. Students would engineer a variety of rides in the class and build their own Amusement Park. The course uses LEGO Bricks and other motorized components. In this course, we expose students to,
Physics and Engineering Concepts,
- Basics of centripetal and centrifugal force, potential and kinetic energy,
gravitational force, and angular momentum.
- They shall learn how these apply to building park rides.
- An additional challenge would provide exposure to block programming.
Basic Engineering Parts
- Gear Systems, powered Motors, Wheels, and Axles
- Students will also explore basic mechanical engineering by building models of their favorite rides using tools like gears, motors, and wheels and axles in order to create movement.
Problem Solving, Teamwork and Planning
Engineering is about solving problems for a creative purpose. Students would be tasked to solve challenges at their level, which shall expose them to understanding problems, planning and executing in teamwork.
Device Requirements
Students are required to bring their own touch screen tablets or iPAD or iPhone for use loaded LEGO WeDo 2.0 software.
SPORTS CAMP
At ICC, the sports camp gives children an opportunity to test and learn about their own athletic skills, understand leadership as well as responsibility, teamwork and following coach’s directions. All of these are crucial to developing self-esteem and confidence. The various activities offered at camp enable kids to learn where their talents lie in a supportive environment. This year the focus will be on:
• Playing traditional and non-traditional sports games
• Participating in drills and games
• Participating in capture the flag, basketball, soccer, and more
• Participate in activities that focus on teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship
What kids will learn:
• Skill development: Campers can learn new skills and improve their existing ones
• Teamwork: Campers can learn how to work together with others
• Life lessons: Campers can learn about sportsmanship, perseverance, and how to cope with challenges
• Confidence: Campers can build their self-confidence and self-esteem
• Fun activities: Campers can participate in games like dodgeball, kickball, and capture the flag
Basketball: Campers will dribble, pass, and shoot their way through fun drills and games designed to improve coordination, teamwork, and confidence on the court.
Soccer: Little soccer champs will learn the basics of kicking, passing, and scoring while participating in fun-filled scrimmages and skill-building exercises.

After 6:00 pm $1.00 will be charged per minute.
