BUILD A SMART HOME WITH MICRO BIT CAMP

Build a 21st century smart home with Micro:Bit. Micro:Bit is a programmable device that allows students to get hands-on with coding and digital making. It is packed with many sensors that enable students to make interactive projects. In this camp, students will brainstorm ideas to make their smart home secure, efficient, and innovative. We will
cover basic computer programming concepts and students will write code using either a block-based or MicroPython programming language. We will guide the class through the whole project with emphasis on problem solving and creativity.

Note: Please bring a laptop. We will have a few laptops for students who are unable to bring their laptop. We will provide Micro:Bits.

• Exploring world cultures (languages, traditions, foods)
• Mythology and folklore from around the globe
• Geography and landmarks

Activities:
• Cooking international snacks
• DIY passports and “traveling” to a new country daily
• Building famous landmarks using cardboard or blocks

You may drop your child anytime for Morning Extended Care from 8:00am - 9:00 am at ICC Milpitas at an additional cost of $49. 		+ $49.00
