NEOROBOTICS Computer Vision (PYTHON) Week 2 & Photography & Taekwondo

THIS IS WEEK 2 of NeoRobotics Computer Vision
In this course students learn how to read and write a robot program as well as control a robot using Python scripts. Our detailed curriculum is effective for learning Python fundamentals and robotics fundamentals. We shall cover,

Week 1
1. Fundamentals: Students would know about variables, using expressions, how to input and generate outputs from Python programs. Students shall use a browser based coding environment. They shall transition to using a Raspberry PI based system.
2. Robot Parts: Students get a gentle introduction to components used to make a robot, Motors, gears, axles, obstacle sensors, camera, tilt sensor. All components use LEGO bricks or standard LEGO kits.
3. Beyond Basics: Students would learn how to bring in modularity by using subroutines and modules, and loops which they would use to write more complex programs and make simple games.

Week 2
4. Building a NeoRobot: Students learn how to build a robot, add motion to it, add sensors to it so it can interact, and finally program it using Python. Students would be using PCs or iPADs to program the robots.
5. Putting it all together: Using the skills that the students learnt so far, they would be challenged to build robots to perform some tasks. This is a good foundational course for those trying to participate in FLL or other advanced challenges. Students would be using PCs or iPADs to program the robots.

We encourage students to bring their own laptops with a keyboard. Internet connection would be needed to access the programming environment. We shall provide kits in class for shared use. Robotic components and Raspberry PI Kits would be available for purchase on https://www.neoxrobotics.com.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Let your child's creativity shine through the lens with our Photography program. Campers will learn the fundamentals of photography, from composition and lighting to framing the perfect shot. Using both digital cameras and smartphones, they will discover how to capture stunning images, whether it's a portrait, landscape, or still life. Students will also be introduced to basic photo editing techniques to enhance their photos, turning their shots into professional-looking works of art. By the end of the week, they'll have their own portfolio of amazing images to showcase!

TAEKWONDO
In our Taekwondo classes, campers will develop strength, coordination, and discipline while learning the basics of this exciting martial art. They will practice essential moves, including kicks, strikes, and stances, while focusing on balance, flexibility, and confidence. Taekwondo isn't just about physical skills – it also teaches respect, perseverance, and how to stay calm under pressure. With experienced instructors guiding them, campers will learn valuable life skills that extend beyond the dojo, all while having fun and getting active.
