3D Printing
This class is a combination of Engineering and 3D printing where campers will make real working tools, toys, and gadgets. They will learn how to design 3D objects with software and try to build gizmos and gadgets (via 3d printing) using the same engineering process that professionals use to create all the products you use today. This program teaches students many useful problem-solving techniques, develops their knowledge of math & science, and many other critical skills, all in one fun class. Bridges and Towers
This program will allow campers to express their creativity and satisfy their desire to build and experiment. Students will learn the basics of architecture as they experience the joy of building and testing their very own bridges and towers! We will use a variety of materials such as paper, bass and balsa wood. No prior experience is necessary, as we will guide them from start to finish. Campers will learn the building and designing process, and apply it to create bridges/towers. Chess
Introduction to the moves and rules of this intellectual sport with emphasis on problem solving, anticipating consequences and planning ahead, good sportsmanship, and learning from mistakes. Students will practice checkmates and tactics like pins, forks, discovered check, x-ray attacks on worksheets. Playing games with supervision, students will learn how to: open a chess game properly; apply middle game principles; practice basic endgames and checkmates; play comfortably with tournament rules and protocol; win graciously and learn from losses. Clay Oven Cooking
Learn how to bake bread, make pizza and roast vegetables in the PDS Clay oven. This beautiful oven was built by campers 6 years ago and has been making delicious food ever since. Using the freshest, most local ingredients, campers will bake daily, starting the day by lighting and tending the fire in the oven. This will be followed by preparing loaves of bread and ingredients for pizzas, and harvesting fresh vegetables from the garden for roasting. Recipes and food will be shared. Crafting Craze
This week will involve running around and creating natural and ‘traditional’ crafts using collected material like sticks, leaves, rocks, and of course mud! We will create many natural crafts using material the campers gather themselves. Crafts may include sun dried handmade paper and candles. Drobots- Lego Stem Avengers
Explore all the caped crusaders and discover their super powers in this action packed LEGO® camp. Create a fantasy world and protect it against all the evil arch enemies with custom contraptions made with LEGO® bricks. Fishing
Learn everything you need to know about the basics of fishing. Campers are introduced to various fishing terminology and techniques, where and when to fish, how to choose a rod and reel, baits, tying knots, lures, hooks and other fishing tackle. They will practice what they learn with games, casting target practice and fishing in the ponds of PDS. Please bring water shoes and/or extra pairs of sneakers. | $310.00 |
Ice Skating
Princeton Day School Summer Programs has once again teamed up with Learn to Skate USA to offer skill levels 1-8. Six progressive levels introduce forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, and turns. Upon completion of the Skills 1-6 levels, skaters will be able to confidently advance to more specialized areas of skating. All classes will be well-structured with the focus on proper skill development, taught in a positive, fun and social environment. Skaters will progress at their own rate and advance after skill mastery is demonstrated. Basic 1 and 2: These introductory levels allow new skaters with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning the fundamentals. Basic 3–6: These levels develop all of the fundamental skating skills on the ice. Focus is on learning the ABCs of basic athleticism: agility, balance, coordination and speed. For Campers Born Between 2010-2016. Join us as we host our first of three youth day camps at Princeton Day School. Camp will take place at Baker Turf field and players will have access to world class facilities while on campus throughout the week. Our goal is for your player to experience a fun-filled day camp led by our Technical Director and Princeton Day School boys varsity coach, Brian Thomsen, members of his PDS coaching staff, members of the NLSA coaching staff, and players from PDS. We look to provide a fun, exciting, camp curriculum so that your player grows their love of the game. Included in your camp experience is outstanding coaching, an excellent curriculum, a dri-fit camp t-shirt, and world class facilities.

Panther Mini Camp
Mini-Panthers enjoy a wide assortment of activities geared directly to their age, interests and activity levels. Our experienced and compassionate staff (1:4 ratio) guide your child throughout the camp day, making each camper’s PDS Summer Program experience safe, educationally stimulating and unforgettably fun! Panther Mini-Camp is exclusively for toilet-trained preschoolers from ages four through children entering Kindergarten. Ropes Course- Beginner
Campers will develop self-confidence and trust through a series of group initiatives and games. Ropes Course- Intermediate/ Advanced
This high ropes camp offers the experienced climber the opportunity to stretch themselves with the more challenging elements on the state-of-the-art PDS ropes course. This fast paced, climbing experience includes both individual and dual high elements. It also includes the Voyageur Course, a series of challenges connected by a self-belay system with dual entry access from the/ climbing tower or cargo net. Ropes Course- Student Facilitator
This unique camp is for the experienced climber. It is an opportunity for them to further extend their adventure experience. They will have the chance to learn all the skills necessary to facilitate ropes course content. These include: belay skills, knots, set up and take down procedures, and work to lead low challenge course initiatives. They will work with experienced staff members who will help them hone the skills that are necessary to work in this environment.
Offered in the mornings of all weeks.
